Centacare Managers and Staff — Internal Referral

Our future skilled workforce, trained our way.

Have you had a recent job candidate, who has the right attitude, but needs further skills, a qualification, experience or development to be suitable?

Do you have casual staff that want more hours and responsibility, but need further development?

Centacare, in conjunction with the team from Stones Throw and Care College, has developed the Caring Futures program to make sure we can secure our future workforce by creating our own pipeline of potential employees that we have trained, our way.

What is Caring Futures?

Caring Futures is a 12-week program that equips participants with the knowledge, skills and attitude to excel in the community services field. It prepares participants for roles such as Community Support Workers in Aged Care and Disability.

All participants are screened for their suitability to work in with Centacare and the community services sector, are provided with the training, induction and support including:

  • Job Preparation, foundation and employability skills
  • Certificate III in Individual Support
  • Centacare specific and general induction
  • First Aid, blue card and police checks
  • Work placements
